Many people have now resorted to buying more and more items online, you can even do your weekly shopping online if you wanted to.
My latest experience of online purchasing was buying a car battery, I first searched for cheap car batteries and my search results went on for page after page, I started going through them one by one to find the easiest to use website that had good reports from it's customers.
On the first page I found an online store that sold hundreds if not thousands of car batteries, the layout of the website was easy to understand and more importantly it had a page dedicated for testimonials from the websites customers. The best part about the testimonials page was that it wasn't something that was written by the owners of the website, this was real people as it had their account user names and occasionally a picture of them, this was because the testimonials page had a form that previous customers could add a testimonial themselves. The majority of what was said about the website was all good, there were a couple of grumbles regarding some people not getting their car batteries on the correct date and time but as I read them I saw it was only late by a day or two at the most which is to be expected sometimes.
I decided I had read enough and it was time to try and find my own car battery, I went back to the home page and clicked on the image of the car battery, I was taken to a page where I could enter all the details of the battery if I wanted to or just a few answers to their questions to bring up car batteries that matched the criteria I had entered.
After only entering the make and model of my car a page full of car battery images appeared on my screen, all of which were more than suitable for my car, I didn't want to choose the cheapest car battery on the website as I wanted a good quality car battery that would last at least 5 years or more.
I made my choice and filled in all my details, the best thing was the website allowed me to enter a different delivery address to my home address which meant I could have the car battery delivered to my work instead of having to make sure someone was at my house on the day of the delivery whilst I was at work, I made my payment and received and email and a receipt to confirm my purchase.
Two days later whilst at work my car batter was delivered, in one piece and exactly as it had been described on the website.
